Active Ingredient:
Pyriproxyfen 10%
Use NyGuard as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program to break the cycle of insect reproduction. NyGuard gets to the root cause of insect problems – the eggs, larvae or nymphs – and prevents them from maturing into reproductive adults. NyGuard will cause morphological abnormalities and disrupt the normal development of immature stages of insects, leading to sterility or death.
Use in conjunction with a non-IGR insecticide
When adults are present, use NyGuard in conjunction with a non-IGR insecticide. This method focuses on the large-scale removal of the reproductive adult component of the target population, while at the same time introducing NyGuard to disrupt the development of further generations.
What is NyGuard® IGR and how does it work?
NyGuard IGR is a class of insecticide known as an Insect Growth Regulator. NyGuard has a unique mode of action. It acts on the immature life stages of insects and prevents those insects from becoming full functioning and reproducing adults. By breaking the reproductive cycle of these insects, NyGuard helps reduce overall insect populations. When used in conjunction with an “adulticide” insecticide, NyGuard can help control infestations and re-infestations.
Can I use NyGuard® IGR with another insecticide?
Yes, NyGuard can be used in conjunction with an “adulticide” insecticide as directed on the label. Always read and follow the package label instructions.
What is the residual activity of NyGuard® IGR?
NyGuard IGR concentrate’s activity keeps working for 7 months.
